Green Manufactured Products

Green manufacturing approaches the idea of "cradle-to-cradle" design. Ideally, all materials used in industrial or commercial processes are either:

  • non-toxic, non-harmful synthetic materials that have no negative effects on the environment and can be recycled completely, or
  • are biologic materials that can be disposed of in any natural environment and decompose without negatively affecting said environment.

The Nike Trash Talk - a 2008 Nike shoe design that utilized scrap material from other shoe designs as well as a recycled rubber sole.

Climatex - upholstery fabric that can be fully composted or fermented and used as a fertilizer, or that can be incinerated without any toxic releases at all.

Seventh Generation cleaning products - non-toxic cleaners packaged in post-consumer recycled materials.
