"Complete street" concepts provide for flexible design strategies and policies to help balance the needs and safety for all users including pedestrians, disabled, transit riders, and bicyclists. This is one of the primary building blocks for sustainable communities. Some of these concepts have been included in the Wichita Downtown Master Plan and are being considered for additional developments in other areas of Wichita.
