Areas that frequently exceed and violate the federal health-based ozone standard are faced with increasing health impacts as well as regulatory and economic consequences. The City of Wichita is taking steps to voluntarily remain in compliance with this standard. As part of these efforts, a short survey has been developed to measure “air awareness” of the community.
Please complete the short “Community Air Quality Awareness” survey using the following regarding outdoor air quality by April 9th, 2012 - http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WichitaAir.
The Kansas University School of Medicine – Wichita has agreed to collect survey responses for the City of Wichita. All survey responses will be kept strictly confidential and no individual responses will be identified. All results will be reported in aggregate to the City of Wichita Office of Environmental Initiatives in order to help guide future voluntary air pollution reduction programs.
The results of this survey will be posted on www.greenwichita.org by April 30th or you may email Kay Johnson at kjohnson@wichita.govto discuss. Thank you in advance for your participation.
Feel free to forward this link on to others in the four-county area of Butler, Harvey, Sedgwick, and Sumner. (Only one IP address per survey will be processed.)
