The City of Wichita welcomes the 5th Annual Green Wichita: Preservation, Energy & Sustainability Conference, on January 25, 2013. A fantastic opportunity to encourage energy efficiency and sustainability. All are welcome.

Business Energy and Sustainability Conference for Business Owners/Operators, Facility and Maintenance Managers, Architects, Engineers, Elected Officials, Municipal Government Staff, Fleet Managers, Educators and others. Conference includes continental breakfast, buffet luncheon, mixer (includes 2 drink tickets) seminars, keynote speaker and vendors. Admission $50. Located in Convention Hall.

The City of Wichita Mayor Carl Brewer has announced a voluntary Idle Reduction Partnership Program.  He is requesting businesses and organizations in four counties -Sedgwick, Harvey, Sumner and Butler - to consider adopting an internal Idle Reduction Policy similar to the one adopted by the City of Wichita in March, 2012.  This program is designed to help organizations save fuel and expense as well as to reduce air pollution in the area.  Details of the partnership are provided in the Mayor’s attached letter along with a copy of the City of Wichita Idle Reduction Policy (See READ MORE). Documents including a signup form and free program tools are also provided.
