Thank you to all that attended the City of Wichita's Complete Streets Forum July 21st at the KU Medical Center in Wichita, KS. Lots of great information was provided, many comments were shared and the Q&A session was superb. A few pictures are posted here and links to the presentations are all included to the right in a pdf format. Roger Henderson's presentation is understandably quite large since he provided many streetscape pictures. Many thanks to EPA for providing the City of Wichita with a technical assistance grant that made the forum and subsequent workshop possible. A special thanks also goes to Roger Henderson, our main expert presenter and trainer on Complete Streets and Stephanie Seskin, Executive President, both representing the

Roger Henderson"Complete street" concepts provide for flexible design strategies and policies to help balance the needs and safety for all users including pedestrians, disabled, transit riders, and bicyclists. This is one of the primary building blocks for sustainable communities. Some of these concepts have been included in the Wichita Downtown Master Plan and are being considered for additional developments in other areas of Wichita.
